Recent news has reminded us that, at a time when Quebec needs more security – not less – the idea of abolishing the Decree respecting security guards would be a major step backward and would directly threaten the rights of the thousands of agents who work every day to ensure our collective safety. This decree is not a simple administrative framework: it guarantees a minimum standard for the thousands of agents who protect our communities daily. Wages, hours, premiums, leave – these are conditions negotiated collectively and applied across the entire sector to ensure stability, expertise, and fairness.

As of June 1st, 2025, the Parity Committee for security guards will be located at a new address.

As of June 30, 2024, the minimum hourly rate will increase from $ 19.34 to $ 19.69.
