The importance of joining the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and providing proof.

According to Article 4.1.04 of the Decree, an eligible employee is required to become a member of the collective RRSP by completing the enrolment form for the plan chosen by the parity committee. Furthermore, the employee must submit a proof of enrolment to his employer in order to receive benefits under the collective RRSP.

 We strongly recommend that both employees and employers keep a record of the submission dated, since the employer’s obligation to contribute to the RRSP begins upon receipt of this proof for eligible employees classified as A-01 or A-02.
