Wages, hours, premiums, leave \u2013 these are conditions negotiated collectively and applied across the entire sector to ensure stability, expertise, and fairness.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Without this framework, the risk is clear: fragmented working conditions, a \u201crace to the bottom\u201d and the rise of inequitable practices. This is exactly what the Parity Committee model is designed to prevent. The Parity Committee protects not only workers but also responsible employers by shielding them from unfair competition, undeclared work, and employers who would attempt to sidestep the rules.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\">It is legitimate to want to adapt the law to today\u2019s realities. Modernize, yes. Abolish, no. Because beyond being a labour relations issue, it is the quality and reliability of public security that are at stake.
